Thank you! Not got a heat gun myself, would be worried about my paint? Thinking the missus super fancy hair dryer may work....

You don’t really need one to be honest. A little soapy water in a trigger spray, wet the area with spray, place the film on and it floats on the soapy water. Then ‘squee-gee’ the water from the centre outwards. Done this many times with self-adhesive vinyl from small patches like the sill protectors to full 6” wide stripes.

After reviewing it seems Aliath send out the Oraguard 270 which is PVC where as the 280 isn't. I've spoke to them and will return.

Think I may bite the bullet and just go to a pro. £1600 for front end and rear sills but self healing 3M wizardry they use.

That seems mega expensive.... from memory my detailer charged about £70 for the rear half of the sills and the wheel arch flares

Anyone got pictures of these fitted to the rear of the skirt only? I want to protect it but not if it means it’s going to take away from the looks. If it’s ugly I’d rather risk the stone chips then deal with that if the time comes.

Yeah, it needs a good wash!
These have been on 3 years and are just 3M cheapies from eBay. You can hardly see them when it’s clean unless you rub polish into the edges and don’t buff it out.

After a wash (shamed myself into it!)
The car has had genuine splash guards (mud flaps) fitted from new but this area still gets peppered. There’s a few marks visible above the plastic skirt, too.

Definitely seems to be doing the trick.

Also that colour’s beautiful 👍

Mine looks exactly the same as the "before" picture. It's definitely an area that susceptible to damage.
