Re: Enabling Smartphone pack (Apple carplay/Android Auto) in non capable ICTP

You use same 12V than is used in low end UIP. You need to buy pins and add wires or buy UIP where vendor did add wires.

Let me try to understand. Besides the ECM and TCM, there is a PCM (Powertrain?)? What's the job of the PCM? Should I ask for flashing this also?
PCM is the one which controls the engine. TCM and PCM should be updated together to keep in sync. Pathfinder should check it when updating one.

Retrofit fun

After a almost year long project finally today finished few retrofits. Base line is that I have ICTP which allows meridian surround. Other retrofits were electric rear window blind, 360 cameras, surround parking (adding parking assist sensors over standard rear and front sensors + rear view camera),...

Re: Ctek battery charger

Wondering does anybody used stronger CTEK charger with maximum 10 A charging current (MXS 10), could it be harmfull for our Jaguar AGM batteries? That 10A means that CTEK can provided maximum 10 amps when charging. When dealer does maintenance to car it uses power support unit which must be able to...

Re: Gearbox AT noise

Little offtopic. Spent yesterday ~8 hours updating all the modules in the car. When updating TCM (transmission control module) pathfinder checks if the PCM requires update. After TCM update pathfinder did update PCM. They are very related. JLR says that do not update unless TA (JLR technical assista...

I think the plastic is there just to protect the radar. YMMV get new grill without it and add this plastic to protect the radar.

Re: Last month of warranty

The "problem" why dealers won't upgrade software to modules is that Jaguar won't pay for the job unless it is a warranty job. And old software upgrade to newer version is not a warranty job unless there is a problem. Your friendly neighborhood garage who has pathfinder can do the upgrades or just le...

Re: Jaguar XE 35t- Convert rear light

Really don't know the differences. Rear lights consist inner and outer assemblies: Outer: a reverse lamp a turn signal indicator tail lamp functions a stop lamp a side marker lamp (NAS market vehicles only) (USA version) Inner: a fog lamp tail lamp functions In wiring turn signals have own signal an...

Re: Blind Spot Mirror Retrofit

In short yes, it can be done. Adding just mirrors won't bring you blind spot monitoring.

It won't be very easy. Add blind sport sensors + new mirrors + cabling and CCF change.
